The MILWAUKEE 49-59-2006 is a high speed steel (HSS) annular cutter designed for fast, clean hole-cutting in sheet metal and mild steel plate. Its thin-wall construction removes less material than a standard twist drill or hole saw of the same diameter, reducing cutting resistance and heat buildup. The advanced tooth geometry simultaneously cuts, clears chips, and finishes the bore wall in a single pass, producing burr-free holes without secondary deburring. The 3/4 inch Weldon shank is compatible with most small and large magnetic drill presses when used with the appropriate arbor. Licensed HVAC fabricators, ironworkers, pipefitters, and sheet metal mechanics regularly specify annular cutters for structural and ductwork penetrations where hole quality and speed matter.
This cutter is sized at 2-1/16 inches in diameter and is intended for use in mild steel applications, from thin-gauge sheet metal up to thicker plate stock. It fits magnetic drill press setups equipped with a 3/4 inch Weldon arbor. For pilots requiring a center pin, MILWAUKEE specifies use with pin 49-59-0011. The cutter is sold individually, making it a practical direct replacement or addition to an existing annular cutter set.
Designed for use with magnetic drill presses equipped with a 3/4 inch Weldon shank arbor. Use with center pilot pin MILWAUKEE 49-59-0011. Intended for mild steel applications.
Annular cutters are installed by licensed sheet metal mechanics, ironworkers, and general tradespeople using magnetic drill presses or drill press stands. Before mounting the cutter, ensure the drill press is powered down and the magnet is disengaged. Secure the Weldon shank fully in the arbor collet and tighten the set screw before use. Always insert the center pilot pin before beginning a cut to prevent the cutter from walking on the work surface.
