The MILWAUKEE 49-59-1937 is a high speed steel (HSS) annular cutter designed for fast, clean hole cutting in sheet metal and mild steel plate. The cutter features a thin-wall construction paired with an advanced tooth geometry that cuts, clears, and cleans material in a single pass. This reduces burring and speeds up hole completion compared to conventional twist drill bits. The 3/4 inch Weldon shank makes it compatible with most small magnetic drill presses and large magnetic drill presses with the appropriate arbor. Licensed HVAC, mechanical, and structural fabricators working with mild steel stock will find this cutter a practical shop and field tool.
This annular cutter is built for mild steel applications including sheet metal fabrication, structural steel work, and general metal trade use. The thin-wall design displaces less material than standard hole cutters of the same diameter, resulting in faster cut times and burr-free holes. At 1 15/16 inches in cutting diameter, it handles a common conduit, pipe penetration, and panel knockout size encountered in HVAC, electrical, and plumbing rough-in work. It is used with pilot pin part number 49-59-0011.
Designed for use with magnetic drill presses accepting a 3/4 inch Weldon shank. Large magnetic drill presses require the correct arbor adapter. Use with pilot pin 49-59-0011.
Installation and use should be performed by qualified trade professionals familiar with magnetic drill press operation. Secure the workpiece and verify the drill press is properly anchored before beginning the cut. Keep cutting speed and feed rate appropriate for the material thickness to avoid overheating the cutter. Inspect the pilot pin for wear before each use and replace as needed to maintain hole accuracy.
