The MILWAUKEE 49-57-8325 is a carbide-tipped annular cutter designed for cutting clean, precise holes in sheet metal and structural materials. It fits the Milwaukee quick-change arbor system and is built for use in handheld drills, delivering hole quality comparable to a drill press setup. The cutter handles materials up to 3/8 inches thick and produces a 1-7/16 inch diameter hole with a cutting depth of 3/16 inches. Licensed HVAC sheet metal workers, pipefitters, and electricians routinely reach for this style of cutter when punching holes through steel studs, stainless steel panels, and similar substrates.
This cutter is suited for both residential and light commercial applications where trade professionals need repeatable, burr-minimizing holes in stainless steel, structural steel studs, brass, aluminum, and other thin sheet materials. It is especially effective in confined or overhead installations where a drill press is not practical. Using a cutting fluid such as Milwaukee Hawg Wash during operation extends carbide tip life and improves cut quality. Hawg Wash is available separately in 16 oz. bottles that each yield one gallon of lubricating solution.
Designed for use with the Milwaukee quick-change arbor 49-57-0035. Suitable for stainless steel, structural steel studs, brass, aluminum, and other thin sheet materials up to 3/8 inches thick.
Installation and use of annular cutters in sheet metal work is typically performed by licensed sheet metal workers, pipefitters, or electricians. Always secure the workpiece firmly before drilling and apply cutting fluid consistently throughout the cut to protect the carbide tips. Ensure the correct arbor is seated and locked before operation. Follow applicable local codes and manufacturer safety guidelines when working with rotating cutting tools.
