The MILWAUKEE 49-57-8305 is a carbide-tipped annular cutter designed to cut clean, precise holes in sheet metal and thin structural materials. With a 3/4-inch cutting diameter and a 3/16-inch cutting depth, it handles stainless steel, structural steel studs, brass, aluminum, and other thin sheet materials. The carbide tip construction allows the cutter to be used in handheld drills while still producing hole quality comparable to a drill press. Licensed tradespeople working in HVAC rough-in, electrical, and light structural applications will find this cutter well-suited for repetitive sheet metal penetrations.
This annular cutter is intended for use in materials up to 3/8 inches thick. It is compatible with the quick-change arbor system, pairing directly with the 49-57-0035 quick-change arbor for fast, tool-free bit swaps. Typical applications include cutting knockout holes in steel studs, sheet metal ductwork, and enclosures in both residential and light commercial settings. Milwaukee recommends the use of Hawg Wash cutting fluid during drilling to extend carbide life. Hawg Wash fluid (49-32-0081) is sold separately in 16-ounce bottles; one bottle produces one gallon of lubricating solution.
Designed for use with the MILWAUKEE quick-change arbor 49-57-0035. Suitable for handheld drilling operations in stainless steel, structural steel studs, brass, aluminum, and other thin sheet materials up to 3/8 inches thick.
Installation of this cutter requires the appropriate quick-change arbor and a handheld drill or drill press. Secure the workpiece firmly before beginning to prevent movement during cutting. Apply cutting fluid to the cutter and workpiece throughout the operation to reduce heat buildup and preserve carbide tip integrity. Follow all applicable safety guidelines for rotating cutting tools, including proper PPE such as eye protection and gloves.
