The MILWAUKEE 49-57-5000 is a threaded Steel Hawg annular cutter designed for electromagnetic drill presses and high-output mag drill applications. The 5-inch diameter cutter uses carbide teeth in an alternating cutting pattern to produce clean, accurate holes up to 2 inches deep in steel, stainless steel, cast iron, and aluminum. A spring-loaded, self-ejecting centering pin doubles as a plug ejector, reducing cycle time between cuts. Licensed electricians, ironworkers, pipefitters, and structural fabricators rely on this tool where twist drill bits are too slow for production work.
This cutter is suited for repetitive hole-making in structural steel, plate steel, and fabricated metal components in both shop and field environments. It is compatible with most electromagnetic drill presses using a threaded arbor interface. For Milwaukee mag drill press model 4262-1, use arbor 49-57-0030. For model 4292-1, use arbor 49-57-0010. The cutter also accepts a No. 3 Morse taper arbor assembly 49-57-0010. The shank uses an M18 x 1.5 metric thread size.
Compatible with most electromagnetic drill presses using a threaded arbor. Use with arbor 49-57-0030 for Milwaukee mag drill press 4262-1, arbor 49-57-0010 for Milwaukee mag drill press 4292-1, or a No. 3 Morse taper arbor assembly 49-57-0010.
Annular cutters of this type are installed and serviced by licensed trades and qualified metalworkers using electromagnetic drill presses. Before mounting or changing cutters, ensure the mag drill is powered off and the magnetic base is fully released. Inspect the arbor threads for wear or debris before seating the cutter. Follow the drill press manufacturer's clamping and pilot-pin procedures to prevent workpiece movement during cutting.
