The MILWAUKEE 49-57-3620 is a threaded Steel Hawg annular cutter designed for fast, clean hole cutting in ferrous and non-ferrous metals. Equipped with abrasion-resistant carbide teeth arranged in an alternating cutting pattern, this cutter removes metal up to three times faster than a conventional twist drill bit. It cuts holes up to 2 inches deep and is built for use with electromagnetic drill presses. The threaded shank features an M18 x 1.5 metric thread. A spring-loaded, self-ejecting pilot pin doubles as a centering pin to improve cut accuracy and speed up plug removal. Licensed electricians, ironworkers, pipefitters, and HVAC installers rely on this type of cutter for conduit knockouts and structural penetrations.
The 49-57-3620 is suited for cutting through steel, stainless steel, cast iron, and aluminum in both commercial and industrial applications. It is commonly used on job sites where a magnetic drill press is the primary tool for producing large-diameter holes in structural steel, plate, or pipe supports. The cutter is sized at 3-5/8 inches in diameter, making it appropriate for larger conduit or pipe openings. It mounts to most electromagnetic drill presses via a compatible threaded arbor.
Compatible with arbor 49-57-0030 for use on the Milwaukee 4262-1 magnetic drill press and with arbor 49-57-0010 for use on the Milwaukee 4292-1 mag press. Also compatible with a No. 3 Morse taper arbor assembly 49-57-0010. Works with most electromagnetic drill presses accepting an M18 x 1.5 threaded shank.
Installation and use should be performed by a qualified tradesperson familiar with magnetic drill press operation. Secure the mag drill firmly to the workpiece before beginning the cut and verify the pilot pin is properly seated before applying cutting pressure. Always power down and de-energize the drill press before changing cutters or arbors. Eye protection and appropriate PPE are required when cutting metal.
