The MILWAUKEE 49-57-2560 is a threaded Steel Hawg annular cutter designed to drill clean, precise holes in metal up to three times faster than standard twist drill bits. Built with abrasion-resistant carbide teeth and an alternating cutting pattern, this cutter delivers a 2 9/16 inch cutting diameter and handles hole depths up to 2 inches in steel, stainless steel, cast iron, and aluminum. The shank uses an M18 x 1.5 metric thread. A spring-loaded, self-ejecting pilot pin serves as both a centering pin and a plug ejector for faster, more accurate cuts. Licensed electricians, HVAC installers, ironworkers, and mechanical contractors rely on annular cutters like this one for clean hole production in structural and enclosure work.
This cutter is suited for use with electromagnetic drill presses in both residential and commercial construction and industrial maintenance applications. It is compatible with Milwaukee magnetic drill press model 4262-1 when paired with arbor 49-57-0030, and with Milwaukee model 4292-1 mag press when paired with arbor 49-57-0010. It is also designed for use with a No. 3 Morse taper arbor assembly 49-57-0010. Typical applications include drilling knockout holes in electrical enclosures, structural steel fabrication, and conduit installation work where clean, burr-minimized holes are required.
Compatible with Milwaukee magnetic drill press 4262-1 using arbor 49-57-0030, and with Milwaukee magnetic drill press 4292-1 using arbor 49-57-0010. Also designed for use with a No. 3 Morse taper arbor assembly 49-57-0010. Works with most electromagnetic drill presses accepting M18 x 1.5 threaded annular cutters.
Annular cutters of this type are installed and operated by electricians, ironworkers, pipefitters, and mechanical contractors using electromagnetic drill presses. Before mounting the cutter, ensure the drill press is powered down and the magnetic base is disengaged. Verify the arbor thread specification matches the cutter shank before tightening. Always use a cutting fluid or lubricant appropriate for the base material to extend cutter life and reduce heat buildup during extended cuts.
