The MILWAUKEE 49-57-2500 is a threaded Steel Hawg annular cutter designed for fast, clean hole-cutting in ferrous and non-ferrous metals. The cutter produces a 2.5-inch diameter hole up to 2 inches deep in steel, stainless steel, cast iron, and aluminum. Carbide teeth arranged in an alternating cutting pattern reduce cutting time by up to three times compared to standard twist drill bits. A spring-loaded, self-ejecting pilot pin serves dual duty as a centering pin and plug ejector, improving hole accuracy and speeding up cycle time. The M18 x 1.5 threaded shank provides a secure, repeatable connection to compatible arbors. Intended for use with electromagnetic and magnetic drill presses.
This annular cutter is suited for structural steel fabrication, mechanical and process piping work, ironworking, and general metalworking applications where precise, burr-minimized holes are required. The cutter is compatible with most electromagnetic drill presses via a threaded arbor connection. For use with Milwaukee magnetic drill press model 4262-1, pair with arbor 49-57-0030. For Milwaukee model 4292-1, use arbor 49-57-0010. The cutter also accepts a No. 3 Morse taper arbor assembly 49-57-0010. Sold individually.
Compatible with Milwaukee magnetic drill press model 4262-1 using arbor 49-57-0030, and Milwaukee model 4292-1 using arbor 49-57-0010. Also compatible with No. 3 Morse taper arbor assembly 49-57-0010. Works with most electromagnetic drill presses accepting a threaded annular cutter shank.
Installation and use of annular cutters on magnetic drill presses should be performed by qualified tradespeople familiar with metal fabrication equipment and safe drilling practices. Ensure the magnetic drill press base is fully energized and the workpiece is secured or clamped before initiating a cut. Inspect the pilot pin and spring mechanism before each use to confirm proper seating and ejection function. Follow applicable OSHA general industry standards for stationary and portable drilling equipment.
