The MILWAUKEE 49-57-2250 is a threaded Steel Hawg annular cutter designed to drill clean, precise holes in steel, stainless steel, cast iron, and aluminum at speeds up to three times faster than conventional twist drill bits. The cutter features carbide teeth arranged in an alternating cutting pattern that reduces cutting resistance and extends tool life. A spring-loaded, self-ejecting centering pin improves hole accuracy and speeds plug removal. The shank uses an M18 x 1.5 metric thread and is compatible with No. 3 Morse taper arbor assemblies. Licensed electricians, ironworkers, pipefitters, and mechanical contractors reach for this cutter when working with electromagnetic drill presses on structural and fabricated steel.
This cutter is built for trade professionals who need repeatable, burr-minimized holes in ferrous and non-ferrous base materials. It is rated to a maximum hole depth of 2 inches. The 49-57-2250 is suited for use on magnetic drill presses in both field and shop environments. Typical applications include conduit knockout work, structural steel fabrication, mechanical equipment mounting, and sheet-metal panel work where hole quality and cycle time both matter.
Compatible with arbor 49-57-0030 for use on the Milwaukee 4262-1 magnetic drill press and arbor 49-57-0010 for use on the Milwaukee 4292-1 magnetic drill press. Also accepts a No. 3 Morse taper arbor assembly 49-57-0010. Works with most electromagnetic drill presses that accept M18 x 1.5 threaded annular cutters.
Installation and operation should be performed by qualified tradespeople familiar with magnetic drill press equipment and metal cutting procedures. Secure the magnetic drill press base firmly to the workpiece before beginning any cut and verify the workpiece is free of flammable materials or coatings that may react to heat generated during cutting. Power down and de-energize the drill press before changing cutters or arbors. Always use appropriate cutting fluid on the cutter and workpiece to maximize tool life and improve cut quality.
