The MILWAUKEE 49-57-2120 is a threaded Steel Hawg annular cutter designed for cutting clean, accurate holes in steel, stainless steel, cast iron, and aluminum. The cutter uses carbide teeth arranged in an alternating cutting pattern that removes material up to 3 times faster than standard twist drill bits. Maximum cutting depth is 2 inches. A spring-loaded, self-ejecting pilot pin serves as both a centering pin for accurate hole placement and a plug ejector for faster chip clearance. The shank uses an M18 x 1.5 metric thread. Installed and serviced by electricians, pipefitters, ironworkers, and mechanical contractors working with electromagnetic drill presses on structural or fabricated steel.
This annular cutter is intended for use with electromagnetic (mag) drill presses in industrial, commercial, and field fabrication settings. It cuts a 2-1/8 inch diameter hole and is compatible with Milwaukee arbor 49-57-0030 for use with the Milwaukee 4262-1 magnetic drill press, arbor 49-57-0010 for use with the Milwaukee 4292-1 mag press, and a No. 3 Morse taper arbor assembly 49-57-0010. Applications include structural steel drilling, pipe flange work, and panel fabrication where clean, burr-minimal holes are required.
Compatible with Milwaukee arbor 49-57-0030 on the Milwaukee 4262-1 magnetic drill press, and arbor 49-57-0010 on the Milwaukee 4292-1 mag press. Also designed for use with the No. 3 Morse taper arbor assembly 49-57-0010. Works with most electromagnetic drill presses that accept a threaded M18 x 1.5 shank or compatible Morse taper arbor.
Install and operate this cutter with the magnetic drill press fully secured and powered off before changing tooling. Verify arbor thread engagement is complete before energizing the mag base. Use cutting fluid appropriate for the base material to extend cutter life and reduce heat buildup. This tool should be operated only by trained personnel familiar with electromagnetic drill press safety procedures.
