The MILWAUKEE 49-57-2060 is a threaded Steel Hawg annular cutter engineered for fast, clean hole-cutting in ferrous and non-ferrous metals. Fitted with abrasion-resistant carbide teeth arranged in an alternating cutting pattern, it cuts holes up to 2 inches deep at speeds up to three times faster than conventional twist drill bits. The cutter features a spring-loaded, self-ejecting centering pin that stabilizes the cut and ejects the slug quickly without manual removal. The shank uses an M18 x 1.5 metric thread. Licensed electricians, ironworkers, and mechanical contractors reach for this tool when punching clean holes through structural steel, stainless steel, cast iron, or aluminum on the job site.
This cutter is sized at 2 1/16 inches in diameter and is built for use with electromagnetic drill presses. It is compatible with arbor 49-57-0030 on the Milwaukee 4262-1 magnetic drill press and with arbor 49-57-0010 on the Milwaukee 4292-1 mag press. It also accepts a No. 3 Morse taper arbor assembly 49-57-0010. The cutter handles structural steel, stainless steel, cast iron, and aluminum in both fabrication shop and field installation settings.
Fits arbor 49-57-0030 on the Milwaukee 4262-1 magnetic drill press and arbor 49-57-0010 on the Milwaukee 4292-1 mag press. Also compatible with No. 3 Morse taper arbor assembly 49-57-0010. Works with most electromagnetic drill presses that accept an M18 x 1.5 threaded shank.
Installation and operation should be performed by a qualified tradesperson familiar with magnetic drill press setup and cutting tool safety. Before mounting or removing the cutter, confirm the drill press is fully powered down and unplugged. Secure the mag drill base firmly to a clean, flat steel surface before starting the cut to prevent walking or slippage. Always use the appropriate cutting fluid recommended for the base material to extend cutter life and prevent overheating.
