The MILWAUKEE 49-57-1812 is a threaded Steel Hawg annular cutter designed for fast, accurate hole-making in ferrous and non-ferrous metals. It features a 1-13/16 inch cutting diameter, a 2 TPI alternating tooth geometry, and abrasion-resistant carbide teeth that extend cutter life and produce a cleaner hole edge. The M18 x 1.5 metric threaded shank connects to compatible arbors for use with electromagnetic drill presses. A spring-loaded, self-ejecting pilot pin doubles as a centering pin and accelerates plug removal after each cut. Licensed electricians, ironworkers, pipefitters, and HVAC fabricators rely on this cutter for structural steel and panel work.
The 49-57-1812 is suited for cutting holes up to 2 inches deep in steel, stainless steel, cast iron, and aluminum. It is commonly used with electromagnetic mag drill presses in commercial construction, steel fabrication shops, and mechanical room installations where twist drill bits are too slow or impractical. Paired with arbor 49-57-0030, it fits Milwaukee's 4262-1 magnetic drill press. Paired with arbor 49-57-0010, it fits Milwaukee's 4292-1 mag press. It is also compatible with a No. 3 Morse taper arbor assembly 49-57-0010.
Compatible with arbor 49-57-0030 on Milwaukee 4262-1 magnetic drill press, arbor 49-57-0010 on Milwaukee 4292-1 mag press, and No. 3 Morse taper arbor assembly 49-57-0010. Works with most electromagnetic drill presses accepting an M18 x 1.5 threaded shank.
Installation and use of annular cutters should be performed by qualified tradespeople familiar with magnetic drill press operation. Secure the mag drill base firmly to the workpiece and verify the magnetic hold before starting the cut. De-energize and lock out any electrical panels or equipment near the cutting zone per standard LOTO procedures. Always use cutting fluid appropriate for the base material to extend cutter life and reduce heat buildup.
