The MILWAUKEE 49-57-1627 is a quick change tang drive annular cutter designed for fast, clean hole cutting in ferrous and non-ferrous metals. Built with abrasion-resistant carbide teeth and an alternating tooth form geometry, it cuts holes up to 1 inch deep in steel, stainless steel, cast iron, and aluminum without requiring pre-punching or pilot holes. The result is a ream-like finish in a single pass. Weighing 0.43 pounds and measuring 3.25 inches in length, it is sized for use with electromagnetic drill presses on production or structural steel work. Licensed electricians, ironworkers, pipefitters, and HVAC fabricators are the primary users.
This cutter is suited for residential and commercial applications where structural steel, plate, angle iron, or tube steel requires precise, repeatable hole cutting. The quick change tang drive system reduces downtime between cuts, making it practical for multi-hole layout work on mag drill setups. It is compatible with most electromagnetic drill presses when paired with the appropriate arbor. For use on Milwaukee 4292-1 or 4297-1 magnetic drill presses, pair with arbor 49-57-0012 or 49-57-0013. For the Milwaukee 4262-1 mag press, use arbor 49-57-0032.

Install and remove this cutter only with the magnetic drill press powered off and the electromagnet disengaged. Secure the arbor fully before energizing the drill. Apply cutting oil to extend cutter life and reduce heat buildup during use. Follow the drill press manufacturer's RPM recommendations for the cutter diameter and material being cut.
