The MILWAUKEE 49-57-1502 is a quick change tang drive Steel Hawg annular cutter designed for high-speed hole cutting in ferrous and non-ferrous metals. Featuring carbide teeth arranged in an alternating cutting pattern, the 49-57-1502 cuts holes up to 1 inch deep in steel, stainless steel, cast iron, and aluminum without pre-punching or pilot holes. The result is a clean, ream-like finish that reduces secondary finishing work. This cutter is built for licensed tradespeople and industrial mechanics who run electromagnetic drill presses in fabrication, structural steel, and mechanical contracting applications.
The 49-57-1502 is suited for residential and commercial construction, structural steel erection, HVAC duct fabrication, and general metal fabrication work where fast, repeatable hole cutting is required. The 1-1/2 inch cutter diameter is a common size for conduit knockouts, pipe penetrations, and structural connections. It is compatible with most electromagnetic drill presses. For Milwaukee magnetic drill presses, use arbor 49-57-0012 or 49-57-0013 with the 4292-1 or 4297-1 models, or arbor 49-57-0032 with the 4262-1 mag press.
Compatible with most electromagnetic drill presses. For Milwaukee magnetic drill presses, use with arbor 49-57-0012 or 49-57-0013 on the 4292-1 or 4297-1, or arbor 49-57-0032 on the 4262-1 mag press.
Installation and operation should be performed by qualified tradespeople familiar with electromagnetic drill press equipment. Secure the workpiece firmly and ensure the mag drill base is fully energized and seated before cutting. Inspect the cutter for carbide tooth damage before each use and replace if chipping is present. Always follow applicable OSHA and tool manufacturer safety guidelines when operating magnetic drill press equipment.
