The MILWAUKEE 49-57-1500 is a threaded Steel Hawg annular cutter designed for cutting clean, accurate holes in steel, stainless steel, cast iron, and aluminum. Built with abrasion-resistant carbide teeth and an alternating tooth form geometry, this cutter drills holes up to 3 times faster than standard twist drill bits. It handles hole depths up to 2 inches at a 1.5-inch diameter. The M18 x 1.5 metric threaded shank connects directly to compatible electromagnetic drill press arbors. A spring-loaded, self-ejecting centering pin improves cut accuracy and speeds up plug removal. Licensed electricians, ironworkers, pipefitters, and mechanical contractors rely on this cutter for structural steel and heavy fabrication work.
The 49-57-1500 is suited for use with electromagnetic drill presses in commercial and industrial applications where consistent hole quality and throughput matter. Typical use cases include conduit knockout work, structural steel fabrication, HVAC ductwork penetrations, and pipe fitting layouts. The cutter is compatible with Milwaukee magnetic drill press model 4262-1 using arbor 49-57-0030, and with Milwaukee model 4292-1 using arbor 49-57-0010. It is also compatible with a No. 3 Morse taper arbor assembly 49-57-0010. The cutter ships as a single unit and is sized at approximately 3.7 inches in its longest package dimension.
Compatible with Milwaukee magnetic drill press model 4262-1 using arbor 49-57-0030, and with Milwaukee model 4292-1 using arbor 49-57-0010. Also compatible with a No. 3 Morse taper arbor assembly 49-57-0010. Works with most electromagnetic drill presses that accept an M18 x 1.5 threaded shank.
Installation and use should be performed by qualified trade professionals familiar with magnetic drill press operation and metal cutting procedures. Secure the electromagnetic drill press base fully to the workpiece before starting the cut, and confirm the arbor is properly torqued to the shank before operation. Always power down and de-energize the drill press before changing cutters or arbors. Apply appropriate cutting fluid to extend cutter life and maintain cut quality in ferrous metals.
