The MILWAUKEE 49-57-1439 is a quick change tang drive annular cutter designed for fast, clean hole-cutting in ferrous and non-ferrous metals. Built around carbide teeth in an alternating cutting pattern, this cutter is rated for up to 1 inch depth of cut in steel, stainless steel, cast iron, and aluminum. It leaves a ream-like finish without requiring a center punch or pilot hole. The self-ejecting, spring-loaded pin serves dual duty as a centering pin and plug ejector, reducing downtime between cuts. Sized at 1-7/16 inches cutting diameter, it is sold individually and weighs 0.4 pounds.
This cutter is intended for use on electromagnetic drill presses and magnetic base drills in metal fabrication, structural steel work, ironworking, and mechanical contracting. It is compatible with Milwaukee magnetic drill presses using the tang drive arbor system. For the 4292-1 or 4297-1 magnetic drill press, use arbor 49-57-0012 or 49-57-0013. For the 4262-1 magnetic drill press, use arbor 49-57-0032. The cutter is also noted for use on the 4252 Steel Hawg. It suits job sites and shops where repetitive hole production in metal is required and fast cutter changeover is a priority.
Compatible with Milwaukee magnetic drill presses 4292-1 and 4297-1 using arbors 49-57-0012 or 49-57-0013, and with the Milwaukee 4262-1 magnetic drill press using arbor 49-57-0032. Also rated for use on the Milwaukee 4252 Steel Hawg. Works with most electromagnetic drill presses accepting a tang drive arbor.
Installation and cutter changes should be performed with the magnetic drill press powered off and the base magnet disengaged. Verify arbor compatibility with the specific press model before mounting. Secure the arbor per the press manufacturer's instructions before energizing the magnet or beginning a cut. Metal fabricators and ironworkers should follow applicable OSHA and shop safety protocols when operating magnetic drill presses.
