The MILWAUKEE 49-57-1437 is a threaded Steel Hawg annular cutter designed for drilling clean, accurate holes in steel, stainless steel, cast iron, and aluminum. The cutter features carbide teeth arranged in an alternating cutting pattern that removes material significantly faster than a standard twist drill bit. It cuts to a maximum depth of 2 inches at a 1 7/16 inch diameter. The M18 x 1.5 metric threaded shank provides a secure connection to compatible arbors and electromagnetic drill presses. Licensed electricians, ironworkers, pipefitters, and industrial maintenance techs reach for this cutter when precision hole quality and speed both matter on the job.
This cutter is suited for fabrication shops, structural steel work, electrical rough-in through steel enclosures, and mechanical installations requiring clean through-holes in ferrous and non-ferrous plate. It is compatible with most electromagnetic drill presses using a No. 3 Morse taper arbor. For Milwaukee magnetic drill press model 4262-1, use arbor 49-57-0030. For Milwaukee magnetic drill press model 4292-1, use arbor 49-57-0010. The threaded shank also accepts a No. 3 Morse taper arbor assembly 49-57-0010 directly.
Compatible with most electromagnetic drill presses using a No. 3 Morse taper arbor. Use arbor 49-57-0030 with Milwaukee model 4262-1 and arbor 49-57-0010 with Milwaukee model 4292-1. Threaded shank accepts No. 3 Morse taper arbor assembly 49-57-0010.
Annular cutters should be installed by qualified tradespeople familiar with magnetic drill press operation. Before mounting or removing the cutter, confirm the drill press is powered off and unplugged. Apply cutting oil to the cutter teeth before use in steel or stainless steel to reduce heat buildup and extend tooth life. Ensure the centering pin is fully seated before beginning a cut to prevent wandering and maintain hole accuracy.
