The MILWAUKEE 49-57-1252 is a quick change tang drive annular cutter designed for fast, clean hole cutting in ferrous and non-ferrous metals. Built with abrasion-resistant carbide teeth and an alternating tooth form geometry, it cuts holes up to 1 inch deep without pre-punching or pilot holes, leaving a ream-like finish. At 0.36 pounds, it is lightweight and built for use with electromagnetic and magnetic drill presses. Licensed HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical tradespeople use annular cutters like this when penetrating structural steel, angle iron, or plate for conduit, pipe, or equipment mounting applications.
This cutter is rated for use in steel, stainless steel, cast iron, and aluminum. It is suited for both shop and field work where clean, accurate holes are required without a drill press pilot. The alternating cutting pattern reduces cutting time by up to three times compared to standard twist bits in similar materials, making it a practical choice for high-volume or time-sensitive installations.
Compatible with arbor 49-57-0012 or 49-57-0013 on Milwaukee 4292-1 or 4297-1 magnetic drill presses, and with arbor 49-57-0032 on the Milwaukee 4262-1 mag press. Also compatible with most electromagnetic drill presses accepting a quick change tang drive. Designed for use on the Milwaukee 4252 Steel Hawg.
Installation should be performed by a qualified tradesperson familiar with magnetic drill press operation. Ensure the drill press is fully deenergized and the cutter is seated and locked in the arbor before beginning any cut. Secure the workpiece and verify the magnetic base has full contact with the work surface before energizing. Do not exceed the rated cutting depth for this cutter.
