The MILWAUKEE 49-57-1250 is a threaded Steel Hawg annular cutter designed to drill clean, accurate holes in steel, stainless steel, cast iron, and aluminum at speeds up to three times faster than standard twist drill bits. Built with abrasion-resistant carbide teeth and an alternating tooth-form geometry, this cutter delivers fast material removal and a longer service life than standard high-speed steel alternatives. The 1.25-inch diameter cutter reaches a maximum hole depth of 2 inches and uses an M18 x 1.5 metric threaded shank for secure arbor attachment. A spring-loaded, self-ejecting pilot pin doubles as a centering pin and clears the slug quickly after each cut. Licensed electricians, ironworkers, pipefitters, and mechanical contractors working with electromagnetic drill presses will find this cutter suited to high-volume hole-making in structural and sheet metal applications.
This annular cutter is intended for use with electromagnetic drill presses in commercial and industrial settings where consistent, burr-minimized holes are required in ferrous and non-ferrous metals. Compatible arbors include 49-57-0030 for use with the Milwaukee 4262-1 magnetic drill press and 49-57-0010 for use with the Milwaukee 4292-1 mag press. The 49-57-0010 arbor also serves as the No. 3 Morse taper arbor assembly for this cutter. Use on ferrous metals including structural steel plate and tube, as well as aluminum and cast iron in fabrication or in-field applications.
Compatible with arbor 49-57-0030 on the Milwaukee 4262-1 magnetic drill press and arbor 49-57-0010 on the Milwaukee 4292-1 mag press. Also compatible with a No. 3 Morse taper arbor assembly 49-57-0010. Fits most electromagnetic drill presses accepting a threaded M18 x 1.5 shank.
Installation and operation should be performed by qualified tradespeople familiar with electromagnetic drill press equipment and metal-cutting safety procedures. Secure the drill press firmly to the workpiece with the magnetic base fully energized before beginning the cut, and verify that workpiece surfaces are clean and free of scale or paint that could reduce magnetic adhesion. Apply cutting oil generously to the cutter during use to reduce heat buildup and extend tooth life. Disconnect power to the drill press before mounting or removing the arbor and cutter assembly.
