The MILWAUKEE 49-57-1189 is a quick change tang drive annular cutter designed for fast, clean hole cutting in metal. It produces holes up to 1-3/16 inches in diameter and cuts to a depth of 1 inch in steel, stainless steel, cast iron, and aluminum. Carbide teeth with an alternating cutting pattern deliver a ream-like finish without pre-punching or pilot holes. The quick change tang drive allows rapid cutter swaps to reduce downtime. Licensed electricians, ironworkers, and pipefitters rely on this type of cutter when working with electromagnetic drill presses on structural steel and plate fabrication.
This cutter is suited for use with electromagnetic drill presses in both shop and field applications. It is compatible with Milwaukee arbors 49-57-0012 and 49-57-0013 on the Milwaukee 4292-1 and 4297-1 magnetic drill presses, and with arbor 49-57-0032 on the Milwaukee 4262-1 magnetic drill press. It also functions with the Milwaukee 4252 Steel Hawg and most standard electromagnetic drill presses accepting a quick change tang drive. Typical applications include structural steel fabrication, conduit routing, and mechanical piping layouts where clean, burr-minimal holes are required.
Compatible with Milwaukee arbors 49-57-0012 and 49-57-0013 for use on the Milwaukee 4292-1 and 4297-1 magnetic drill presses, and with arbor 49-57-0032 for use on the Milwaukee 4262-1 magnetic drill press. Also designed for use on the Milwaukee 4252 Steel Hawg. Works with most electromagnetic drill presses that accept a quick change tang drive.
Installation and operation should be performed by qualified tradespeople familiar with electromagnetic drill press safety procedures. Secure the drill press to the workpiece with full magnetic force before beginning a cut, and verify the workpiece is properly grounded or stabilized. Power down and disconnect the drill press before changing cutters. Follow all applicable OSHA and manufacturer safety guidelines when working with magnetic drill presses on elevated or overhead steel.
