The MILWAUKEE 49-57-0251 is a quick change tang drive annular cutter designed for fast, clean hole cutting in ferrous and non-ferrous metals. It features carbide teeth in an alternating tooth form geometry that drives through steel, stainless steel, cast iron, and aluminum up to 1 inch deep. The cutter delivers a ream-like finish without pre-punching or a pilot hole, reducing setup time on the job. It is installed and swapped out using a quick change tang drive system, making it well suited for production metal fabrication environments and structural steel work performed by ironworkers, pipefitters, and metal fabricators.
The 49-57-0251 is built for use with electromagnetic drill presses and magnetic drill rigs common in structural steel fabrication, mechanical contracting, and industrial maintenance applications. It is rated for cutting in steel, stainless steel, cast iron, and aluminum. The quick change tang drive reduces downtime between cutter swaps during high-volume hole production. It is compatible with No. 3 Morse taper arbor assembly 49-57-0010 and the Milwaukee 4252 Steel Hawg magnetic drill press. It also works with arbor 49-57-0012 or 49-57-0013 on the Milwaukee 4292-1 or 4297-1 magnetic drill press, and arbor 49-57-0032 on the Milwaukee 4262-1 mag press.
Compatible with No. 3 Morse taper arbor assembly 49-57-0010 and the Milwaukee 4252 Steel Hawg. Also works with arbor 49-57-0012 or 49-57-0013 on the Milwaukee 4292-1 or 4297-1 magnetic drill press, and arbor 49-57-0032 on the Milwaukee 4262-1 mag press. Works with most electromagnetic drill presses.
Installation is performed by qualified tradespeople familiar with magnetic drill press operation. Ensure the magnetic drill press is powered down and the base magnet is fully disengaged before mounting or removing the cutter. Secure the arbor assembly to the spindle according to the drill press manufacturer's instructions before engaging the tang drive. Use appropriate cutting fluid on the workpiece to extend cutter life and maintain finish quality.
