The MILWAUKEE 49-16-2653x is a forged steel press ring designed for use with PEX pipe pressing applications in plumbing and hydronic systems. The ring provides a reliable, tool-actuated compression connection when used with a compatible press tool. At 1-1/4 inches in size, it delivers a secure mechanical joint without solder, clamps, or open flame. The forged steel construction offers consistent dimensional tolerances and resistance to deformation under press load. Overall length is approximately 2-33/64 inches. Plumbers and pipefitters working in residential and light commercial environments rely on this ring for repeatable, code-acceptable connections.
This press ring is intended for 1-1/4-inch PEX pipe installations. Typical applications include domestic hot and cold water distribution, radiant heating supply and return lines, and hydronic manifold connections. Press ring technology is increasingly specified where open-flame torch work is restricted or where fast, consistent connections are required in tight spaces or occupied structures. This ring is part of the MILWAUKEE PEX pressing system and is used in conjunction with a compatible MILWAUKEE press tool and jaw set.
Designed for use with 1-1/4-inch PEX pipe as part of the MILWAUKEE PEX press tool system. A compatible MILWAUKEE press tool and corresponding jaw set are required to complete the connection. Verify jaw and tool compatibility before use.
Installation must be performed by a licensed plumber or pipefitter in accordance with applicable local plumbing codes and the International Plumbing Code (IPC). Shut off water supply and depressurize the line before beginning work. Ensure the pipe is fully seated in the fitting before pressing, and inspect the completed ring for uniform seating around the full circumference. Do not attempt to press the ring with an incompatible tool, as an improper press may result in joint failure.
