The MILWAUKEE 48-90-0060 is a rigid high carbon steel scraper blade designed for use with oscillating multi-tools equipped with an Oscillating Interface System (OIS) universal closed-back mount. The blade measures 2.5 inches wide and 2.75 inches long, providing a broad contact surface suited for flat scraping tasks. The closed-back connector forms a firm, rigid tool-to-blade connection that transmits more torque than open-back designs, making it effective for heavy removal work. Installed by tradespeople and experienced DIYers, this blade handles demanding scraping applications where a secure, rattle-free fit is required.
This scraper blade is built for removal of old caulk, paint, carpet, and adhesives on flat surfaces. It is well suited for use in renovation, remodeling, and maintenance work where oscillating tools are the standard approach for tight or detailed scraping. The blade is compatible with multiple oscillating tool brands that use universal OIS or standard universal mounts. Note that this blade is not compatible with Starlock system tools. Blade changes require removing a bolt, which is typical of closed-back universal mount systems.
Direct fit for oscillating tools with universal mounts from Bosch (with universal mounts), Craftsman, DEWALT, Dremel, Fein (with universal mounts), Hitachi, Makita (with universal mounts), Metabo (with universal mounts), Metabo HPT, Milwaukee, Porter Cable, Ridgid, Rockwell, and Ryobi. Not compatible with Starlock system tools.
Blade installation and removal requires loosening a bolt on the oscillating tool — ensure the tool is powered off and unplugged or the battery pack is removed before changing blades. Use the appropriate wrench or hex key for the tool's blade-retention bolt. Inspect the blade for wear or damage before each use and replace if the cutting edge is deformed. This accessory is installed by HVAC technicians, tradespeople, and general contractors as part of standard renovation and maintenance workflows.
