The MILWAUKEE 48-89-2219 is a titanium-coated jobber-length drill bit engineered for extended service life in demanding jobsite conditions. The titanium coating reduces heat buildup and keeps the cutting edge sharp, delivering up to three times the life of standard uncoated bits. A thicker-than-standard web core adds structural strength and resists side-load breakage. The 135-degree split-point tip starts on contact without walking, and the parabolic flute geometry clears chips quickly to maintain cutting speed. The 3-flat shank seats firmly in drill chucks and resists slipping under torque. Electricians, plumbers, HVAC technicians, and general tradespeople reach for this bit when working with metal, wood, or PVC.
This bit is suited for portable drill use across residential and light commercial work. The reduced shank diameter allows use in 3/8-inch chucks, making it compatible with a wide range of cordless and corded drills. The parabolic flute form performs well on curved surfaces, which is useful when drilling pipe, conduit, or structural members in tight spaces. The titanium coating also provides corrosion resistance, extending shelf and service life in humid or wet work environments.
Designed for use in 3/8-inch and larger drill chucks on standard cordless and corded portable drills. Suitable for drilling wood, metal, and PVC.
Insert the 3-flat shank fully into the drill chuck and tighten securely before operation. When drilling metal, use cutting fluid where appropriate to further reduce heat and extend bit life. Disconnect or power down the drill before changing bits. Follow applicable OSHA and site safety requirements when operating rotary drilling tools.
