The MILWAUKEE 48-89-2207 is a titanium-coated jobber-length drill bit sold in a two-piece pack. The titanium coating reduces heat buildup and extends edge life, delivering up to three times the service life of uncoated bits. A thicker-than-standard web core resists side-load breakage during aggressive drilling. The 135-degree split point starts on contact without a center punch, and the parabolic flute geometry clears chips quickly to keep the bit running cool. The 3-flat secure-grip shank seats firmly in drill chucks and prevents slipping under torque.
These bits are suited for drilling through wood, metal, and PVC in light commercial and residential trade applications. The reduced shank diameter allows use in standard 3/8-inch chucks, making the bits compatible with a wide range of portable drills found on HVAC, plumbing, and electrical jobsites. The split point tip is particularly useful when drilling on curved or angled surfaces where bit walking is a common problem. Each pack includes two bits at 5.5 inches in length.
Designed for use with portable drills equipped with 3/8-inch or larger chucks. Suitable for drilling wood, metal, and PVC in jobsite conditions.
These bits are installed and operated by any trade professional using a portable drill on the jobsite. Ensure the drill chuck is fully tightened against the 3-flat shank before operation to prevent slipping. Allow the bit to cool between extended drilling cycles to preserve the titanium edge coating. Inspect the cutting edges before each use and replace bits that show signs of chipping or heat discoloration.
