The MILWAUKEE 48-40-1040 is a 10-inch, 40-tooth fine finish circular saw blade engineered for clean, accurate cuts in wood and wood-composite materials. Built from 100% sheet steel using laser cutting technology, the blade maintains dimensional stability and cutting accuracy across a wide range of applications. An alternate tooth bevel (ATB) pattern reduces tear-out on cut faces, while a thin kerf design reduces material waste and demands less power from the saw. Cobalt-infused tungsten carbide tips extend edge life through demanding production use. A blade tensioning ring and laser-cut polymer-filled vibration slots minimize wobble and warping during operation.
This blade is suited for residential and light commercial carpentry, millwork, cabinet installation, and general framing tasks where finish quality matters. It performs across dry and wet lumber, hardwoods, softwoods, melamine, MDF, veneered plywoods, treated lumber, and laminated engineered wood products including plywood, OSB, LVL, PSL, LSL, and OSL. Carpenters, trim installers, and general contractors commonly reach for this blade when surface quality at the cut line directly affects downstream finishing work.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-fit blade for 10-inch circular saws and table saws accepting a 5/8-inch arbor hole. The 5/8-inch arbor includes a diamond knock-out for compatibility with saws that use a diamond-shaped arbor.
Blade installation and replacement should be performed by a qualified carpenter or tradesperson following the saw manufacturer's instructions. Disconnect power or remove the battery pack from the saw before changing any blade. Use the correct arbor wrench and blade-lock mechanism as directed by the tool manufacturer. Ensure the blade is fully seated on the arbor and the arbor nut is properly tightened before resuming operation.
