The MILWAUKEE 48-40-0726 is a 7.25-inch, 40-tooth fine finish circular saw blade engineered for clean, accurate cuts in wood and wood composite materials. Built from 100% sheet steel using laser cutting technology, the blade maintains dimensional stability and cutting precision over its service life. The alternate tooth bevel (ATB) tooth pattern reduces tear-out on the cut surface, making this blade well suited for finish carpentry and trim work where surface quality matters. A thin kerf design removes less material per pass, which translates to faster cuts and more cuts per battery charge on cordless platforms. An anti-friction coating helps manage heat buildup and resists corrosion and gum accumulation during extended use.
This blade is designed for use on 7.25-inch circular saws, both corded and cordless. It fits a 5/8-inch arbor with a diamond knockout, covering the most common arbor configurations found on job-site saws. Suitable applications include cutting softwoods, hardwoods, melamine, MDF, veneered plywoods, wet lumber, treated lumber, and laminated wood products such as plywood, OSB, LVL, PSL, LSL, and OSL. It is a practical choice for framing crews, finish carpenters, and cabinetry installers who need consistent cut quality across a range of wood species and engineered lumber types.
Compatible with corded and cordless 7.25-inch circular saws using a standard 5/8-inch arbor. Suitable for cutting softwoods, hardwoods, melamine, MDF, veneered plywoods, wet lumber, treated lumber, plywood, OSB, LVL, PSL, LSL, and OSL.
Blade installation should be performed with the saw unplugged or the battery pack removed. Confirm blade rotation direction matches the arrow marked on the blade plate before securing the arbor nut. Use the correct wrench and blade clamp per the saw manufacturer's instructions. Inspect the blade for cracks or missing carbide teeth before each use and replace if damage is found.
