The MILWAUKEE ELECTRIC TOOL CORP 48-25-1752 is a 1-3/4 inch self-feed drill bit engineered for high-volume boring of large, clean holes in wood. It feeds into the workpiece without applied pressure, reducing operator fatigue during repetitive drilling tasks. Improved balance and reduced runout keep holes accurate and on-center. A hex shank provides a positive grip in drill chucks, minimizing slippage under load. Each bit carries a factory-applied rust inhibitor coating, and the cutting edges are resharpenable, extending service life beyond what disposable bits offer. Two feed screws are included with each unit.
This bit is suited for any trade requiring large-diameter wood penetrations in new construction or retrofit work. Electricians boring through framing for conduit runs, plumbers cutting through joists and plates for pipe routing, and HVAC installers creating penetrations for ductwork and refrigerant line sets are the primary users. The 1-3/4 inch diameter is a common size for conduit and pipe pass-through applications in residential and light commercial framing.
Designed for use with standard hex-chuck and keyless drill chucks that accept hex-shank bits. Suitable for any corded or cordless drill or right-angle drill driver configured for self-feed wood boring applications.
Self-feed bits are installed and serviced by electricians, plumbers, HVAC technicians, and general contractors performing rough-in work. Confirm the drill or driver is rated for the torque demands of large-diameter self-feed bits before use. Disconnect or de-energize the drill before changing bits. When boring near existing wiring, piping, or structural members, verify clearances per applicable NEC, IPC, or IFGC penetration and protection requirements.
