The Milwaukee Electric Tool Corp 48-25-1372 is a 1-3/8 inch self feed bit designed for fast, aggressive boring through dimensional lumber, engineered wood, and similar materials. Self feed bits use a center screw to pull the bit through the workpiece without requiring heavy downward pressure, making them a common choice for electricians, plumbers, and carpenters who need to run conduit, pipe, or cable through framing. This bit ships with two feed screws included, allowing a replacement to be on hand when the primary screw wears. It is intended for use in a heavy-duty corded or cordless drill or right-angle drill.
This self feed bit is suited for residential and light commercial rough-in work where holes must be bored through wall plates, floor joists, and studs. Electricians drilling for wire runs and plumbers drilling for drain and supply lines are the primary installers. The 1-3/8 inch diameter is a common size for running 1-inch nominal pipe, standard NM cable bundles, or flexible conduit through wood framing members.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or standard accessory self feed bit compatible with heavy-duty corded and cordless drills accepting a standard hex or round shank self feed bit.
Self feed bits are installed and serviced by electricians, plumbers, and general contractors performing rough-in drilling. Ensure the drill is powered off and the bit is fully seated in the chuck before operation. When boring through load-bearing or engineered lumber, verify local building codes for minimum edge and end distances to avoid compromising structural integrity. Replace the feed screw at the first sign of stripping or reduced pull-through performance to prevent workpiece damage.
