The Milwaukee 48-22-4251 is a compact mini tube cutter built for cutting copper tubing in tight spaces where full-size cutters cannot reach. It accepts pipe from 1/8 inch up to 1-1/8 inch outer diameter, covering the most common residential and light commercial copper sizes. The cutter features a proprietary adjustment mechanism engineered for extended service life, and chrome-plated rollers that resist rust and corrosion during repeated use. An easy-grip adjustment knob allows faster feed and more controlled cuts. Plumbers, HVAC technicians, and refrigeration mechanics will find this tool suited for confined installations, valve replacements, and service work.
This mini tube cutter is used in residential and commercial plumbing, HVAC refrigerant line work, and hydronic system service. The compact form factor makes it practical in tight wall cavities, under sinks, inside air handlers, and in mechanical rooms where swing clearance is limited. It is equally useful for new rough-in work and for service calls where a section of existing copper line must be cut out and replaced.
Designed for cutting soft copper tubing in the 1/8 inch to 1-1/8 inch outer diameter range, consistent with standard ACR and plumbing copper sizes used in residential and light commercial installations.
This tool is used by licensed plumbers and HVAC-R technicians. When cutting refrigerant lines on an active system, recover refrigerant per EPA Section 608 requirements before cutting. Deburr and ream the cut end before soldering or flaring to ensure a leak-free joint. Keep the cutter wheel clean and replace it when scoring becomes uneven or the wheel no longer tracks cleanly.
