The MILWAUKEE 48-20-7426 is a 7/32-inch by 16-inch SDS-Plus rotary hammer drill bit built for general concrete drilling in both corded and cordless rotary hammer applications. Part of the M/2a 2-cutter bit line, it features a variable flute design engineered for maximum debris extraction, delivering up to 20% more holes per battery charge in cordless rotary hammers. Enhanced rebar guards add durability when drilling through hard aggregate and rebar. A centering tip ensures accurate placement, while a wear mark indicator signals when the bit no longer meets ANSI diameter requirements. Licensed electricians, concrete tradespeople, and general contractors are the primary users of this bit.
This bit is suited for residential and commercial concrete drilling tasks including anchor hole placement, conduit stub-outs, and structural fastener locations. The 2-cutter geometry with breaker points pulverizes material more efficiently than standard cutter configurations, increasing drilling speed in dense concrete. The reinforced flute reduces vibration during extended use, making it practical for high-volume drilling on jobsites where cordless tool runtime is a limiting factor. The SDS-Plus shank is compatible with standard SDS-Plus rotary hammer chucks available across major tool platforms.
Designed for use with SDS-Plus rotary hammers in general concrete drilling applications, compatible with corded and cordless rotary hammer tools equipped with a standard SDS-Plus chuck.
Insert the SDS-Plus shank fully into the rotary hammer chuck until it locks before use. Verify the chuck lock is engaged before powering the tool. Inspect the bit for the wear mark indicator before each use and replace the bit if the indicator is reached, as continued use beyond this point does not meet ANSI diameter standards. Follow all applicable OSHA silica dust control requirements when drilling concrete, including use of appropriate water suppression or vacuum extraction systems.
