The MILWAUKEE 48-20-4395 is a four-cutter spline shank drill bit engineered for use with spline drive rotary hammer drills. The bit features a 13-spline shank that locks into the corresponding spline drive system of the hammer, ensuring maximum energy transfer from the tool to the work surface. The 1-1/4 inch diameter, four-cutter head uses carbide nibs vacuum brazed to a heat-treated steel body. Those four cutting edges simultaneously pulverize and clear concrete as the bit rotates and hammers. Licensed HVAC, plumbing, and electrical contractors reaching through concrete slabs or masonry walls will find this a reliable production bit for core pathway drilling.
This bit is suited for heavy-duty concrete, masonry, and block drilling applications in both residential and commercial settings. The spline drive interface is the appropriate tool for high-impact rotary hammer work where a standard SDS-Plus connection would be undersized. With an 11 inch drilling depth and 16 inch overall length, the bit accommodates typical wall and slab thicknesses encountered in mechanical and electrical rough-in work. It is sold individually, one bit per package.
Designed for use with spline drive rotary hammer drills that accept a 13-spline shank interface. Not compatible with SDS-Plus or SDS-Max drive systems.
This bit is installed and used by licensed electricians, plumbers, and HVAC technicians drilling penetrations through concrete or masonry. Confirm the rotary hammer is set to the correct hammer-drill or hammer-only mode before beginning. Always wear appropriate personal protective equipment including eye protection and hearing protection when operating a rotary hammer. Inspect the spline shank for wear or damage before each use and replace the bit if carbide nibs are chipped or missing.
