The MILWAUKEE 48-20-4375 is a spline-shank rotary hammer drill bit built for drilling through brick, block, concrete, and reinforced concrete. It features a 4-cutter tip with a 4 x 90-degree geometry specifically designed to prevent lock-up when the bit contacts rebar. The patented rebar chamfers extend service life under repeated impact, while a high-volume flute design accelerates debris evacuation from the hole. At 1 inch in diameter and 22 inches in overall length, with a 17-inch drilling depth, this bit handles deep anchor and core-layout work on commercial and residential concrete structures. Licensed tradespeople and experienced concrete mechanics are the primary users.
This bit is suited for rotary hammer applications in masonry and concrete construction, including setting anchor bolts, running conduit sleeves, and penetrating reinforced slabs or CMU block walls. The spline shank interfaces with SDS-spline rotary hammers. Its 4-cutter geometry makes it well-suited for sites where rebar is present, reducing the risk of bit seizure mid-hole. The 22-inch overall length provides reach for through-wall penetrations in standard-thickness concrete and masonry assemblies.
Designed for use with SDS-spline rotary hammers. Compatible with spline-drive rotary hammer chucks accepting a 1-inch diameter bit shank configuration.
Installation should be performed by a qualified tradesperson familiar with rotary hammer operation and concrete drilling procedures. Disconnect or de-energize the rotary hammer before inserting or removing the bit from the chuck. Wear appropriate PPE including eye protection and hearing protection during operation. Verify there are no embedded utilities in the work surface before drilling, and follow applicable OSHA and site safety requirements.
