The MILWAUKEE 48-20-4310 is a spline-shank rotary hammer drill bit engineered for heavy-duty drilling in concrete, brick, block, and reinforced concrete. It features a 4-cutter tip with a 4 x 90-degree geometry that resists lock-up when the bit contacts rebar mid-hole. Patented rebar chamfers extend cutting edge life in rebar-dense slabs and walls. A high-volume flute design clears debris rapidly, reducing heat buildup and maintaining penetration rate. At 5/8 inch in diameter and 21 inches overall length, this bit is suited for deep anchor, sleeve, and conduit penetrations in structural masonry and concrete applications.
This bit is used in spline-drive rotary hammer applications on commercial and residential jobsites. Typical installations include setting anchor bolts, drilling conduit pathways, and creating sleeve openings in concrete block and poured concrete walls. The 16-inch drilling depth makes it practical for through-wall penetrations in standard CMU and poured concrete assemblies. Electricians, plumbers, and general contractors running rotary hammers in spline-drive mode will find this bit appropriate for demanding production drilling tasks.
Designed for use with spline-drive rotary hammers. Suitable for drilling in brick, block, concrete, and reinforced concrete.
Installation should be performed by a qualified tradesperson familiar with rotary hammer operation and concrete drilling procedures. Confirm the rotary hammer chuck accepts a spline shank before mounting this bit. Always wear appropriate PPE including eye protection and hearing protection when operating rotary hammer equipment. Verify anchor or sleeve specifications against structural drawings before drilling to ensure correct hole diameter and depth.
