The MILWAUKEE 48-20-4088 is a spline-shank rotary hammer drill bit designed for heavy-duty concrete and masonry drilling applications. The bit measures 7/8 inch in diameter and 22 inches in overall length, providing extended reach for deep anchor holes, through-slab penetrations, and structural drilling tasks. This pack includes 2 bits. The spline drive interface transfers high rotational torque and impact energy from a compatible spline-drive rotary hammer directly into the work material, reducing operator fatigue on long drilling runs. Licensed electricians, plumbers, pipefitters, and general contractors regularly specify spline bits for core penetrations through concrete floors and walls.
This bit is suited for residential and commercial construction and renovation work where deep concrete or masonry penetrations are required. Typical applications include drilling anchor bolt holes, conduit and pipe sleeve penetrations, and rebar-clearance holes through poured concrete slabs and CMU block walls. The 22-inch working length accommodates thick structural slabs and deep embedment requirements that shorter bits cannot reach. The 2-count pack provides a backup bit on the job, reducing downtime from a single worn or damaged tool.
Designed for use with spline-drive rotary hammer drills that accept standard spline-shank bits. Verify that your rotary hammer tool accepts the spline drive interface before installation.
Spline drill bits should be installed and used by qualified trade professionals familiar with rotary hammer operation. Confirm the rotary hammer is powered off and the bit is fully seated and locked in the chuck before drilling. Wear appropriate PPE including eye protection and hearing protection when operating rotary hammer tools in concrete or masonry. Inspect the bit for wear or damage before each use and retire any bit showing cracks, deformation, or excessive tip wear.
