The MILWAUKEE 48-13-6811 is a lineman-grade impact auger bit engineered for drilling clean, fast holes in wooden utility poles. Built for power utility linemen working with impact drivers, it features a single spur design that scores the edge of each hole for a clean finish, allowing hardware to seat and slide without resistance. A reinforced anti-friction PTFE coating reduces friction during drilling and makes bit extraction significantly easier after the hole is complete. The aggressive feed screw and cutting edge pull the bit through dense wood while the wide flute geometry rapidly ejects chips, keeping the hole clear and maintaining drilling speed throughout the bore.
This bit is designed for power utility lineman work in the field and in substations where wooden utility poles require clean, accurately sized through-holes for hardware, bolts, and cross-arm connections. The 7/16-inch hex shank provides a fast, secure connection into standard 7/16-inch quick-connect impact driver chucks. This bit is recommended for clean wood only and is not designed for drilling through poles that contain embedded metal, wire, or treated materials with abrasive additives. It is sold individually and is available in both 18-inch and 24-inch lengths depending on pole thickness and reach requirements.
Designed for use with impact drivers equipped with a 7/16-inch quick-connect chuck. Intended for drilling into clean wooden utility poles. Recommended for clean wood only.
This bit is installed and used by licensed power utility linemen following applicable utility and OSHA safety standards. Before drilling, confirm the pole is de-energized or that proper clearances are maintained per site safety protocols. Use appropriate personal protective equipment for overhead and ground-level utility work. Do not use this bit on treated wood containing abrasive additives, metal-embedded poles, or materials other than clean wood.
