The MILWAUKEE 48-13-6810 is a lineman's impact auger bit engineered specifically for drilling clean, fast holes in wooden utility poles. Designed for power utility linemen, this bit features a single spur design that scores the perimeter of the hole for a cleaner finish, allowing bolts to slide through without resistance. A reinforced anti-friction PTFE coating reduces friction during drilling and makes bit removal easier after the hole is complete. The 7/16-inch hex shank connects quickly to standard 7/16-inch quick-connect impact chucks. At 1 inch in diameter with a 21-inch flute length, this bit handles the reach and hole size required for standard utility pole hardware installations.
This auger bit is intended for use by licensed power utility linemen drilling into wooden utility poles in the field. It is recommended for clean wood only and is not suited for treated, contaminated, or embedded-hardware applications. The aggressive feed screw and sharp cutting edge pull the bit through the material efficiently, while the wide flute geometry rapidly ejects chips to keep the hole clear and maintain consistent drilling speed across a full pole bore.
Designed for use with impact drivers and rotary drills equipped with 7/16-inch quick-connect chucks. Intended for drilling into wooden utility poles. Recommended for clean wood only.
Installation and field use should be performed by qualified power utility linemen following applicable utility safety standards and site-specific procedures. Ensure the drill or impact driver is rated for the torque demands of large-diameter auger bits before use. Disengage and de-energize all relevant equipment before drilling near any energized infrastructure. Do not use this bit on treated, contaminated, or hardware-embedded wood.
