The MILWAUKEE 48-01-2769 is a 12-inch bi-metal reciprocating saw blade designed for tough metal-cutting applications. Built with Matrix II bi-metal construction, the blade delivers durability under demanding cutting conditions. The body stands 1 inch tall to reduce twisting and promote straighter cuts. A stamped honeycomb pattern called Grid Iron runs through the body, increasing rigidity and resistance to buckling. The reinforced tang area uses a ribbed Tough Neck design to minimize tang breakage during high-stress cuts. At 120 teeth per inch, this blade is optimized for fine, controlled metal cutting. Licensed HVAC technicians, plumbers, electricians, and mechanical contractors regularly rely on this blade for cutting pipe, conduit, and structural metal in the field.
This blade is suited for residential and commercial trade work where straight, accurate cuts in metal are required. Typical applications include cutting steel pipe, EMT conduit, angle iron, and similar metal stock. The 12-inch length provides reach in confined spaces and behind walls. The optimized tooth form is engineered to deliver up to twice the blade life compared to previous-generation SAWZALL blades, reducing blade changes during production work. It is sold in a pack with a minimum order quantity of 10, making it a practical stock item for service vehicles and shop inventory.
Designed as a direct-fit replacement for standard SAWZALL and universal-shank reciprocating saws accepting 12-inch blades with a universal tang mount.
Blade replacement should be performed with the saw unplugged or the battery removed before handling. Inspect the blade clamp and chuck mechanism for wear before seating the new blade. Ensure the tang is fully seated and locked before operating the saw. Always wear appropriate PPE, including eye protection, when performing cuts on metal materials.
