The Milwaukee Electric Tool Corp 48-01-2187 is a 9-inch, 14 TPI bi-metal reciprocating saw blade designed for cutting conduit, tubing, channels, pipe, rubber, and fiber materials. The bi-metal construction combines a high-speed steel cutting edge with a flexible alloy steel body, giving the blade durability under continuous cutting loads. At 14 TPI, the blade delivers a medium-fine cut suited for wall thicknesses in the 3/16-inch to 1/4-inch range. These blades are sold in bulk packs of 25 units, making them a practical supply for contractors and service techs who cycle through blades regularly on job sites.
This blade is intended for use with reciprocating saws, commonly called Sawzall-style tools, in both residential and light commercial applications. Typical install and service scenarios include cutting electrical conduit during rough-in work, trimming copper or steel tubing in plumbing and HVAC jobs, and slicing through rubber fittings or fiber materials during demolition or retrofit work. The 9-inch length provides enough reach for flush cuts and cuts in confined framing cavities where shorter blades fall short.
Designed for use with standard reciprocating saws accepting universal shank blade mounting, including Sawzall-style tools commonly used in electrical, plumbing, and HVAC trade work.
Blade installation and changes should be performed with the tool unpowered and the battery removed or the tool unplugged. Ensure the blade shank is fully seated and the blade clamp is secure before operation. Wear appropriate eye and hand protection when cutting metal conduit or pipe, as burrs and chips are common. Deburr cut conduit ends before pulling wire or making connections per applicable NEC and IPC guidelines.
