The Milwaukee Electric Tool Corp 48-00-1450 is a 9-inch diamond grit reciprocating saw blade designed for cutting hard, abrasive materials that carbide grit blades struggle with. Marketed under the Torch line, it delivers up to 30 times longer service life than standard carbide grit blades and cuts up to 2 times faster under comparable conditions. The blade body is thicker and more rigid than standard designs, resisting fracturing and bending during demanding cuts. A 1-inch-tall blade body reduces lateral twist, helping technicians and tradespeople maintain straighter, more accurate cut lines through dense materials. This package includes 5 blades.
The 48-00-1450 is suited for trade professionals and contractors cutting cast iron pipe, hard tile, masonry, and other abrasive hard materials in residential and commercial applications. Plumbers cutting cast iron drain lines, tile setters removing embedded tile, and masonry contractors working on concrete block or brick will find this blade appropriate for their workflow. The diamond grit construction handles materials that would rapidly wear conventional bi-metal or carbide blades.
Designed for use with standard reciprocating saws accepting universal shank blades, including Sawzall-style tools. Compatible with cutting applications involving cast iron, hard tile, masonry, and similar abrasive materials.
Blade installation and removal should be performed with the tool unpowered and the battery removed or the tool unplugged. Ensure the blade is fully seated and locked in the blade clamp before use. Eye protection and appropriate PPE are required when cutting masonry, cast iron, or tile due to debris and dust. Work in a well-ventilated area when cutting materials that generate fine particulate.
