The MILWAUKEE 3016-20PS is a cordless pole saw built for landscape maintenance professionals requiring consistent cutting performance without the maintenance demands of a gas-powered unit. Powered by a POWERSTATE Brushless Motor, it delivers more output than 31cc gas powerheads and reaches full throttle in under 1 second. The motor is positioned at the rear of the unit to optimize balance and reduce operator fatigue during extended overhead cutting. REDLINK PLUS intelligence protects against overload, overheating, and over-discharge while managing throttle response through a variable speed trigger. The 10 inch bar and chain uses a 3/8 inch low-profile pitch with a .043 inch gauge cutting system. A licensed HVAC, landscape, or grounds maintenance professional installs and operates this unit in field conditions.
The 3016-20PS is designed for commercial and residential landscape maintenance applications where overhead limb removal and canopy trimming are routine. The QUIK-LOK attachment interface allows the power head to accept any of 13 compatible Milwaukee attachments, making it a multi-function platform on a single battery system. The included 3-foot extension attachment provides 7 to 10 feet of total reach, suitable for mid-canopy work without ladders. The unit ships as a tool-only configuration and requires an M18 REDLITHIUM battery, sold separately. An automatic bar oiler with a translucent reservoir reduces maintenance stops during extended runs.
The 3016-20PS is part of the M18 system, which is fully compatible with over 275 M18 tools and all 13 Milwaukee QUIK-LOK attachments. The unit is optimized for use with the M18 REDLITHIUM FORGE XC8.0 Battery, which is not included.
This pole saw is intended for operation by landscape maintenance professionals familiar with overhead cutting equipment. Before attaching or removing any QUIK-LOK attachment, power down the unit and remove the battery pack. Inspect the bar oil reservoir before each use and confirm the chain tension and guide bar condition meet the manufacturer service criteria. Follow all applicable ANSI and OSHA guidelines for aerial limb removal and personal protective equipment when operating this tool.
