The MILWAUKEE 23913 is the Markal M-A Stainless Steel Flux, a liquid soldering flux formulated specifically for fast fluxing action on stainless steel and chrome surfaces. Supplied in a quart container, this flux contains no zinc chloride and no heavy metal chlorides, which means it will not cause progressive corrosion on stainless pipe or fittings after the joint is made. No post-solder neutralizing step is required. Licensed plumbers and sheet metal workers reach for this product when working stainless gutters, roofing, and piping applications where standard paste flux would leave residues that attack the base metal.
This flux is suitable for use with all types of soft solders across a broad range of base metals including stainless steel, chrome, copper, galvanized iron, lead, and brass. Typical applications include stainless gutter fabrication, roofing sheet metal work, and general plumbing and HVAC sheet metal joints where corrosion resistance of the finished assembly is critical. Note that this product is not approved for use on potable water tubing and must not be applied in drinking water supply lines.
Designed for use with all types of soft solders on stainless steel, chrome, copper, galvanized iron, lead, and brass. Not approved for use on potable water tubing.
Apply flux to clean, dry joint surfaces before soldering. Plumbers and sheet metal mechanics should shut off any water supply and relieve system pressure before working on pipe assemblies. Follow all applicable local plumbing codes and IFGC guidelines for soldering fluxes in non-potable applications. Do not use this product on any joint that will carry drinking water.
