The MILWAUKEE 2269-20NST is a professional-grade infrared thermometer built for HVAC technicians, electricians, plumbers, and industrial service pros who need fast, accurate non-contact surface temperature readings. It features a 30:1 distance-to-spot ratio, meaning it measures a 1-foot spot from 30 feet away. The infrared sensor reads surface temperatures from -40 to 1472 degrees F, while a built-in contact probe extends measurement capability from -40 to 1022 degrees F. A shielded LCD with high contrast readability performs indoors and outdoors. The 2269-20NST stores up to 99 measurements for performance tracking on the job.
This infrared thermometer is suited for residential, commercial, and industrial service work. HVAC technicians use it to scan duct surfaces, check supply and return temperatures, and identify hot spots in electrical panels without contact. Plumbers use it to verify pipe temperatures in radiant and hydronic systems. The wide temperature range and 30:1 ratio make it practical for both close-quarter mechanical rooms and larger industrial spaces where direct contact measurement is not possible or safe.
Designed for general professional use across HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and industrial service applications. The 1/4-20 thread mount is compatible with standard tripods and compatible Milwaukee accessories.
No installation is required for this handheld instrument. Licensed technicians should power down or de-energize electrical equipment before using any contact probe on energized surfaces. When scanning electrical panels or mechanical equipment, follow applicable NFPA 70E arc flash safety guidelines. Calibrate emissivity settings to the target material for accurate surface temperature readings.
