The MILWAUKEE 22107 is a water-soluble paste flux designed for copper soldering in plumbing and mechanical systems. Formulated to meet ASTM B813, it contains no zinc chloride, making it a non-acid, non-toxic, lead-free option for trade professionals who need a flux that cleans pipe surfaces on application and allows solder to flow evenly. The paste dissolves completely in water, leaving no residue behind in potable water piping. It carries NSF and UPC approvals and is manufactured in the United States. The all-weather formula performs reliably in both hot and cold job-site conditions, making it a practical choice for year-round service work.
This flux is suited for residential and commercial plumbing installations and repairs wherever copper pipe is being soldered. It works with all lead-free and common soft solders and is compatible with a wide range of base metals. Plumbers and pipefitters will find it appropriate for new construction rough-in work, fixture hookups, and service calls requiring copper-to-fitting joints. The 1-pound jar format suits ongoing service work or moderate-volume shop use.
Compatible with all lead-free and common soft solders on copper, brass, galvanized iron, lead, zinc, tin, silver, nickel, mild steel, terne plate, and malleable iron.
Applied by licensed plumbers in accordance with local plumbing codes and IPC guidelines. Shut off and depressurize the water supply line before soldering any fitting. Apply flux sparingly and evenly to the pipe end and fitting cup before assembling the joint. After soldering, flush the line thoroughly with water to remove any flux residue per ASTM B813 requirements.
