The MILLER 903656 is an all-weather roof jack crown assembly designed to minimize pilot light blow-outs caused by wind and weather exposure. It replaces the original crown cap on mobile and manufactured home gas furnaces equipped with a roof jack venting configuration. The outer pipe measures 8.75 inches and fits over approximately an 8.5-inch pipe on the furnace. The inner pipe measures 5.625 inches and fits over approximately a 5.375-inch pipe on the furnace. Overall height is 17.5 inches. Installation instructions are included with the assembly. This part is installed by HVAC technicians servicing mobile home or manufactured housing gas furnace systems.
This crown assembly is suited for residential mobile and manufactured home applications where gas furnaces use a roof jack venting system. It is a direct OEM-style replacement for the original crown cap and is designed for use on roof jacks found on specific Nordyne, Miller, and Intertherm furnace model families. Before ordering, confirm that the existing crown assembly on the unit is removable, as some installations may not accommodate a field replacement of this component.
This assembly is compatible with roof jacks found on the following furnace models: MG1E, M1, MBHA, MGBA, MGBB, MGHA, MGHB, MMBA, MMBB, MMHA, MMHB, MSBA, MSBB, MSHA, and MSHB. Also used on M1G and M1M gas furnace applications.
Installation should be performed by a licensed HVAC technician familiar with mobile or manufactured home gas furnace venting systems. Shut down the furnace and allow all components to cool before beginning work. Verify that the existing crown assembly is removable before proceeding, as not all roof jack configurations support field replacement of this cap. Follow all applicable local mechanical codes and the included installation instructions.
