The MILL-ROSE 70806-z is a white, 100% virgin PTFE thread sealant tape used to seal threaded pipe joints against leaks in gas, water, and chemical piping systems. The tape measures 3/4 inch wide by 1296 inches long with a thickness of 0.003 inches, making it well-suited for larger-diameter pipe threads commonly found in residential and commercial plumbing and HVAC piping. Rated to 3000 psi and a temperature range of -450 to 500 degrees F, it handles demanding service conditions. Plumbers, pipefitters, and HVAC technicians apply it as a standard thread lubricant and sealant on male pipe threads before assembly.

Installation Notes

Wrap the tape clockwise around male threads — viewed from the open end — starting at the first full thread, overlapping each pass by roughly half the tape width. Do not apply PTFE tape to female threads or to joints that require a liquid pipe dope in lieu of tape per local code or manufacturer instruction.
