Product Description

The MIDWEST TOOL U511G is a 70-amp unmetered temporary power outlet panel designed for single-phase electrical distribution at 120/240 volts. Built for jobsite and construction site applications, this surface-mount unit houses multiple circuit breaker positions and receptacle configurations in a NEMA 3R-rated G90 galvanized steel enclosure with a zinc-coated finish. The panel arrives fully factory-wired and assembled, reducing field labor time. All terminals accept both copper and aluminum conductors. Licensed electricians install this unit in compliance with NEC and NEMA standards, making it a dependable choice for temporary power distribution on active construction sites.

The U511G is suited for temporary power applications at residential and light commercial construction sites, outdoor events requiring metered power distribution points, and industrial staging areas. The left-position receptacle is a 6-50R and the right-position receptacle is a 5-20R2, providing flexibility for connecting tools and equipment with different plug configurations. Three circuit breaker positions are configured as CB250 (first position), CB120 (second position), and CB250 (third position). The enclosure is rated NEMA 3R, making it appropriate for outdoor use where rain and weather exposure is expected.

Key Features

  • G90 galvanized steel construction provides superior corrosion resistance for outdoor and jobsite use
  • Durable polyester powder coat finish resists chipping and fading
  • All components factory-wired and assembled to reduce installation time
  • Loop-feed terminals accept copper and aluminum wire for added wiring flexibility
  • Dead front construction prevents accidental contact with live parts
  • Padlock provision helps prevent unauthorized access
  • Removable door and broad range of concentric knockouts accommodate varied wiring needs

Compatibility

Designed as an OEM-style surface-mount unmetered temporary power outlet panel for single-phase 120/240-volt electrical distribution applications meeting NEMA and NEC requirements.

Installation Notes

Installation must be performed by a licensed electrician in accordance with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and applicable local codes. De-energize the supply circuit and verify absence of voltage before making any wiring connections. The removable door eases wiring access during rough-in. Ensure all conductors are torqued to terminal manufacturer specifications and that the NEMA 3R enclosure integrity is maintained after knockout removal to preserve the outdoor rating.
