The MIDWEST TOOL C32U is a NEMA TT-30P angled power plug rated for 30 amps and 125 volts. Built with a 2-pole, 3-wire grounding configuration, it meets ANSI C73.13 R-32-U standards for recreational vehicle and temporary power applications. The body is molded from Zytel impact-resistant nylon, which holds up to repeated plugging cycles and rough job-site handling. The angled entry design lets the plug seat into a receptacle at an offset angle rather than straight back, reducing strain on the cord and the receptacle face. Licensed electricians and RV service technicians are the primary installers.
The C32U is suited for environments where a straight-back plug would create a cord management problem or where clearance behind the receptacle is limited. Typical applications include RV hookups, portable generators with TT-30P receptacles, temporary power distribution panels, and campground service pedestals. The angled configuration keeps the cord routed closer to a wall or panel face, which is useful in tight equipment bays and storage compartments where a standard straight plug would impose a sharp cord bend.
Designed for use with NEMA TT-30R receptacles commonly found on RV service pedestals, campground power posts, and portable generators rated for 30 amp, 125 volt TT-30 service.
Installation should be performed by a licensed electrician in accordance with the National Electrical Code (NEC). Verify the circuit is de-energized and the generator or power source is shut down before connecting or disconnecting the plug. Confirm the cord wire gauge is rated for the 30 amp load before terminating at the plug terminals. Do not exceed the 30 amp or 125 volt ratings stamped on the plug body.
