The MIDLAND INDUSTRIES 116.12 is a 3/4 inch 90-degree street elbow machined from rough brass. Street elbows accept a male fitting on one end and a female fitting on the other, allowing a direction change without adding a separate coupling. This design keeps fitting count low and reduces the overall assembled length of a run. Plumbers and pipefitters install this fitting in water supply, fuel gas, and general fluid-service applications where a right-angle turn is required in tight quarters.
This elbow is suited for residential and light commercial plumbing and mechanical systems. It is commonly installed at fixture supply connections, boiler piping, compressed air drops, and similar services where a 90-degree change of direction is needed and space is limited. The rough brass finish is standard for threaded brass fittings used in behind-wall or mechanical-room installations where a polished appearance is not required.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation fitting compatible with standard 3/4 inch NPT threaded pipe systems in plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical piping applications.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber or pipefitter in accordance with applicable local plumbing codes and the International Plumbing Code. Shut off and depressurize the supply line before removing or installing any threaded fitting. Apply an appropriate thread sealant or PTFE tape to the male threads before assembly and tighten to a snug fit using pipe wrenches — do not overtighten brass fittings. Pressure-test the completed assembly before returning the system to service.
