The MIDDLE ATLANTIC LEGRAND ERK-4428 is a 44-rack-unit (44U) standard open-frame equipment rack constructed from aluminum, designed to house and organize AV, networking, and related electronic equipment in professional installations. The 28-inch depth accommodates a wide range of full-depth chassis, amplifiers, patch panels, and other rack-mounted components. The aluminum construction keeps overall weight lower than steel alternatives while still providing a rigid, stable mounting structure. This rack is specified and installed by AV integrators, low-voltage contractors, and IT infrastructure technicians in commercial and institutional environments.
The ERK-4428 is suited for server rooms, control rooms, broadcast facilities, and structured-wiring closets where a full 44U capacity is required. Its standard EIA rail spacing accepts any EIA-310-compliant rack-mount equipment. The 28-inch interior depth provides clearance for deeper chassis without requiring an oversized footprint. It is commonly deployed in commercial AV and data-infrastructure projects where equipment density and accessibility are priorities.
Designed as an OEM-style standard rack enclosure compatible with any EIA-310-compliant 19-inch rack-mount equipment, including AV components, networking hardware, and patch panels.
Installation should be performed by a qualified low-voltage contractor or AV integrator in accordance with applicable local building and electrical codes. Secure the rack to the floor or wall per the manufacturer mounting instructions before loading equipment to prevent tipping. Power down and de-energize all equipment before installing or removing rack-mounted components. Verify that the combined weight of installed equipment does not exceed the rack rated load capacity prior to final installation.
